Chief Financial Officer
Cathy Savino-Berger has been with Levine Builders for over 25 years, and in her role of Chief Financial Officer since 2005. Mrs. Savino-Berger works directly with lenders, auditors, surety and government agencies fulfilling all construction financial requirements and informational needs. During her tenure with the company, Mrs. Savino-Berger has overseen financial reporting of over two billion dollars in construction revenue. She provides leadership for Levine Builders financial activities, as well as the entire organizations human resource , IT, and risk management groups.
As Chief Financial Officer, she pioneered the firm’s Construction Compliance Department which leads the internal processes for promoting and ensuring compliance with labor programs in accordance with Federal, State and City requirements. The Compliance Department is responsible for compliance reporting for EEO, Contractor Affirmation Statement, Construction Employment Reports, MWBE , Certified Payroll, LL44, Section 3 and HireNYC Initiative for all affordable and assisted living facility projects. Under Mrs. Savino-Berger’s leadership, the Compliance Department produced and implemented a best practice internal labor compliance procedure manual, outlining regulations and processes which are employed to accurately and timely procure, review and submit all project reporting requirements.
As part of her extensive financial experience prior to joining Levine Builders, Mrs. Savino-Berger specialized in construction accounting at a mid-sized public accounting firm. Mrs. Savino-Berger earned a B.S. in Public Accounting from Mercy College and currently serves on the Sentinel Benefits Client Advisory Board.
